ENGINEERS ALL OVER

I WAS AT THE HELM, WHICH WAS MY JOB ON SPECIAL SEA AND ANCHOR DETAIL. WE WERE ARRIVING IN MIAMI FLORIDA FOR SOME LIBERTY. THE CAPTAIN CAME UP BEHIND ME AND SAID I WAS ALL OVER. I EXPLAIN THERE WAS A LOT OF PLAY IN THE RUDDER, HE WATCHED ME FOR WHILE. THEN HE GOT ON THE TELEPHONE AND PRETTY SOON A CPO ENGINEER WE CALLED (SHAKY JAKE) I DON'T REMEMBER HIS REAL NAME. THE CAPTAIN HAD HIM WATCH ME FOR A FEW MINUTES, THEN HE ASKED HIM TO SEE WHAT WAS WRONG .HE SAID YES AND THE CAPTAIN SAID IF IT ISN'T FIXED THE ENGINEERS DON'T GET LIBERTY. WHEN WE FINALLY TIED UP AT THE PIER THERE WERE ENGINEERS ALL OVER THE STEERING MOTOR
